Diana shared that she was experiencing financial difficulties and needed help to pay for her visa application and medical expenses. Martin, wanting to support her, willingly sent her money to cover these expenses. He also paid for her to leave Kharkiv after her apartment was bombed and her brother was hiding in the Donetsk region. Throughout this time, Martin had never met Diana in person.
Martin began to have doubts about the authenticity of their relationship after he ended up sending more and more money to Diana. Despite the financial strain, he found it difficult to break off the relationship as he was emotionally invested in Diana. Martin was also worried about the possibility of Diana dating other men.
