Living with his grandmother, Sandy is a 36-year-old man who enjoys playing Pokemon Go, an augmented reality game that involves the community. Due to the pandemic, the community struggled to organize in-person meetings and instead utilized virtual chat rooms.
The Start of The Romance Scam
While in the chat room, a woman named Charie reached out to him. Sandy hadn’t been in a relationship in a while, so he was excited to be in contact with Charie, who was an attractive women from a wealthy family in the UK.
The two messaged each other back and fourth, and eventually grew a bond. Sandy and Cherie stayed in contact for a year and started developing an emotional connection. Charie would shower Sandy with promises of gifts. Sandy talks openly about his troubles with women in the the past. He was happy to be in a relationship with Cherie, and he spent most of his time messaging her.
Charie would ask for gift cards here and there, but for the most part, everything seemed to be going fine. Until Cherie sent him a package.
Kendra Lust’s Photos Stolen
The package was form an obscure company that Charie had never heard of. But he gave the company’s representative his contact information and agreed to revive the package. When the package arrived in Atlanta, the company contacted him and said he needed to pay $2,750 to receive the unknown package. When Sandy called the Atlanta airport about the package, the customer support team told him that he had been scammed.
After being scammed Sandy found out the photos belonged to one of the top ranked adult film actresses Kendra Lust. He reached out to her on all of her social media. And because Kendra likley deals with these scams on a regular basis, she wasn’t surprised. So she simply thanked Sandy for telling her about the scam. Sandy wasn’t satisfied with this response.
After he told her and she didn’t engage in a line of follow up questions about the scam, Sandy says he harrassed her on social media. leaving comments on her posts and even creating posts blasting the actress.
