Frustrated with your information appearing online? Want a Spokeo alternative that doesn’t let the wrong people know your private details?
The answer is found on Social Catfish, a comprehensive search site whose mission is to protect its users from scammers, spammers, catfishers, and uncomfortable searches like those found on other sites.

How Is Social Catfish Used?
Social Catfish protects its users and provides superior results in 2 ways:
- First, by letting you search your personal information. This helps you control your online reputation management, as you can review your status and content, and edit or delete results or private details you don’t want appearing on public or social sites.
- Second, Social Catfish is a members-only search, where most members use the site to search and uncover the identity of those who use the internet to trick or deceive. In a world of online searching, Social Catfish is the right guy who you want in your corner.
How Is Social Catfish a Better Spokeo Alternative?
To conduct a sample Spokeo search, type your name and the term “Spokeo” into Google. This will direct you to Spokeo’s results. You might be shocked to find that Spokeo or similar sites have your home address and will often display it through Google. This means that people you don’t want coming to your home can immediately find out where you live.

There is a reason that sites like MyLife or Spokeo only have one-star reviews on search reviews, as they don’t protect your information. Due to this, MyLife has been the recipient of class action lawsuits, alleging that the site defrauded customers out of money and tricked them.
Spokeo hasn’t fared much better with their suits, found here: http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-spokeo-privacy-ruling-20170829-story.html. To conduct a search and get information from Spokeo, you will end up paying for searches which contribute funds to the very company that has already violated your private information!
Social Catfish is different. You can search name, username, phone number, image, and email to uncover who you’re communicating with online. Daters often use this search to verify that someone they are online dating is whom they claim to be.

Another way Social Catfish helps is that you can see your (or other’s) digital breadcrumbs across the world wide web. Social Catfish searches 200 billion results and databases to understand the who, what, why, where, and when of someone’s online presence.
Your private information will never be shared by Social Catfish on Google, as Social Catfish scours Google and other search engines results with a specialized algorithm to give you the most up to date results. If you have trouble searching on your own, Social Catfish offers packages which include one on one customer support through an advanced Search Specialist:
What to Do with the Results You Discover
Use Social Catfish as a tool to protect yourself. After you receive search results, you can use them as motivation to refresh your privacy controls by adding or deleting content on the web or your social media accounts. If you’ve used Social Catfish to find information about someone who has been deceitful (or whom you suspect might be), then take the information to law enforcement or use it as a reason to cut off contact or block the person online.
