The Toe Licker

Posted on Reddit By User Yourfavsecondcousin: “In short, a dude continually violated my boundaries on our date, was very touchy, at one point picking up my feet and picking at the skin on them, and then at another point LICKING MY TOES (he’d pulled my feet into his lap and I was watching the bar tv waiting for the check), and as we left he bit the back of my arm.

I took a hiatus after that.”

The Grindr Door Jam

Posted on Reddit By User Salamtr: “I once invited a guy to my apartment that I had met on Grindr. This was during my university days so I really didn’t think things through. He pulled up to my place in a literal monster truck and was pushy and rude right from the beginning. I was annoyed enough to ask him to leave and he agreed to end the date early. I was still in my room as he was leaving the apartment and I began to hear a loud bang at my door.

I walked out of my room to see what the issue was and it turns out my door was jammed. Both of us could not open the door to leave my apartment and there was no other door that led outside. The guy looked both confused and terrified like I was somehow trying to kidnap him. We tried for about 10 minutes to open the door with a knife. He eventually asked me if I had a balcony, I said yes, and he immediately ran to the balcony door and jumped off. It was roughly a 10-foot jump and I was very concerned. By the time I looked outside he was already in his monster truck attempting to drive away. Like seriously! My door could not have jammed at a worse time!”

The Horrifying Apartment

Posted on Reddit By User TuhkaPiispa: “I once met this girl on Tinder who lived in a different city. We agreed that we’d meet in her city in the coming week and when the date came I took the train there.

We had agreed we’d meet up at the central park near the city center so that’s where I headed first. When I saw her she didn’t look quite as attractive as in her photos but I shrugged that fact right off for some reason. You could say that she looked a bit ‘shabby’ or something like that, but not entirely unattractive. We walked around the park exchanging pleasantries for a few dozen minutes and she seemed ok on the personality side.

After that, she suggested that we could go to her place and maybe watch some movies or something like that. Of course, I was pretty excited about it and agreed to go to her place.

So into her apartment, we went and I couldn’t have believed my eyes.

The apartment was really cramped and there was stuff and clutter ALL OVER THE PLACE. Books, trash bags, empty takeaway boxes, and dirty disposable knives and forks, you name it. You would have to be very mindful of your step or you’d knock a pile of junk over. Her sink was also overflowing with dirty dishes. She didn’t even apologize about the mess. Funny thing was that she had had a week to clean up. At least that’s what I would’ve done if I knew that I was expecting guests at my house.

So I asked: ‘Can I sit anywhere? You seem to have a lot of stuff around.’ Her answer was: ‘Yeah go sit on the bed, there’s space.’ So I sat on the unmade bed and to my disgust, I found a small pile of clipped toe/fingernails. I was too much of a coward to note her of that. She went to sit on her computer and started watching Friends from a really outdated computer screen. I thought, ‘what happens now?’ She ate some chips and asked if I wanted to watch too but I passed on this lavish viewing experience.

Then she said: ‘You look kind of hungry, I think I got some food in the fridge.’ She opened the fridge door and it was almost impossible to not reel from pure disgust.

Think about month-old broccoli and sweaty socks. I would use those as a metaphor for the hellish stench that escaped from her fridge. ‘Oops, didn’t realize it smelled so bad, hehe. Must’ve expired.’ At this moment I decided that I had to get out of there.

The problem was that I had this unfortunate personality quirk of being way too nice to people and I couldn’t say to her face that this isn’t working out. So I faked a call with the help of my friend that my mom got into an accident and told this Tinder girl that I really got to rush into the hospital.

I don’t know if she bought my explanation (most likely not) but she said ‘ok, I understand’ without any hassle and I exited the flat swiftly and ran to the next train and never looked back.”

Why is My Mother Here?

Shutterstock_1214451625-2

Posted on Reddit By User Mattorbita: “I remember this one dating app where everyone is anonymous, and you’re basically trying to start up a date with someone who you have no idea what they look like, but you do get to talk to them before meeting them, so the only prior knowledge you come with on a date if you choose to go through with it is their personality.

I tried it, and when we had planned the date and went to the restaurant we chose,

I met with my own mom.”

Catfish Dating App Horror Story: The Grindr Catfish

Shutterstock_361009616

Posted on Reddit by User Jasonbax: “I actually have one that’s kind of funny. One time when I was more naive when it came to Grindr and was talking to someone who was catfishing me (before I really knew it was a thing) and I gave him my address at some point. Well, I got suspicious at some point in our conversation, and I reversed searched his images to figure out he was indeed catfishing me. So I called him out on it and he responded with ‘hold on’ and as soon as I got that message my power went out. I freaked at the time and thought I was going to get murdered, but honestly, it was just a coincidence.”

The Horrifying Tinder Date

Posted on Reddit by User Jasonbax: “So I was meeting this guy at the metro. We are waiting for the metro and when it arrives he pretends to push me in front of it but grabs me at the last second. So, at that point, I’m horrified already but I’m like ok this is his humor, we’ll see how it goes. We get to our station and on the stairs, I am joking about how every tinder date is a bit scary cause the person could literally have a gun and force the other to do whatever or go wherever and sell their organs. He looks at me dead in the eye and says ‘Well if I had a gun on me you’d already been at my mercy at this point.’ I started running down the stairs and jumped in the metro.

Never went on a tinder date ever again.”
