Aside from this scam, Angela’s been through a lot in her life. Her father was once a member of a New York gang and was killed when Angela was young. Later in life she found herself in jail and lost everything she had. Regarding her love life, it’s resembled the same tumultuous history of the other events in her life. It’s been nothing but a long list of men and unfortunate interactions with them. She eventually fell into a relationship with her current boyfriend, Anthony but this too is also not without faults as it too is just as complicated as previous relationships.
What Happened?
Angela met Josephine’s mom online 20 years ago. At some point, Josephine’s mother ended up passing away and Angela continued to connect with Josephine. Josephine lives in Connecticut, so she’s never been able to meet with Angela in person. They’ve tried to meet up several times in the past; over ten times, but something always seems to come up. Josephine blames their lack of in person contact on Angela. Despite this, they’ve both continued to talk over the phone. Angela has noted that the voice on the phone seems different at times adding to the confusion of whether she’s talking to Josephine or somebody else. Josephine sends photos of Angela’s dad’s tombstone every year as a way of consoling her of her dad’s passing. Josephine has never asked for money from Angela and supposedly, has kept contact with her because she wants Angela to be the mother of her twins.
